Comment:

 Right click on the transfer in the event log.  There is a stop and cancel
 option in the context menu.  Stop will attempt to negotiate a graceful end
 to the transfer with the remote station (which may take a few back-and-
 forths).  Cancel will just drop the connection, leaving the remote
 wondering where you went for a bit.
