[drats_users] Repeater help

I was wondering if some one could help me out. For some reason I can't 
seem to get D-Rats and the Repeater Proxy to communicate on the same 
machine. I am running Xubuntu 9.10 and installed from the .deb package. 
I think I may be missing something I had to install python-serial to get 
it running after the install.
