Dan,

I renamed my configuration directory and started D-Rats.  It then walked 
me through the callsign entry, I guess there were too many w1aw calls 
out there :-) and configured the ratflector.  It didn't let me add a 
radio connection to the serial port
 untill I saved the configuration.
