Yeah, I think I clarified (or had it clarified for me) on another
thread.  I'm not sure whether I think that's a good feature or not.  On
the one hand, Winlink makes emergency communications harder (at times)
if you don't know the callsign that a particular station is using (how
do you know that "the temporary red cross shelter near Hillsboro" is
currently using KK7DS).  Making KK7DS and KK7DS-1 different callsigns
just adds another unknown, I think.  However, it is definitely a benefit
because you can only have one callsign and potentially multiple
stations.  Oh well, end of rant.
