The Treo phones are the only ones that still have an actual serial port,
AFAIK and that is not likely to last very long.

The lack of a serial port is the smallest problem to tackle.  The
environment in which D-RATS runs is rather large and complex and
requires services of a real OS to do its work.  Any support for
extremely small devices like that would need to come in the form of
special version written specifically for such a platform.  That's no
small task.

I really don't have any interest in pursuing this sort of thing, but
would be happy to assist someone else in doing so with documentation and
consultation about the protocol(s) involved.
