 I have a USB-Connected DeLorme GPS, Model 9538. In 0.2.7 - 0.2.11, when
 USBttyS0 is selected for the GPS, with 4800 baud for the speed, the map
 view shows my position and the map status bar reports: gps locked (5
 sats).

 In 0.3b7, 0.3b11, 0.3b13, the status bar messages do not appear, and the
 GPS does not update the station position on the map. There are no error
 messages.

 I've trashed the local preferences directory ./d-rats for a fresh start
 and it made no difference.

 The OS is Ubuntu Jaunty on a Lenovo laptop.
