 Might be fixed in changeset:1773

 I've seen one blank message out of a bunch, so this one is hard to test.
 However, the one that was blank for me had a non-ASCII character in it, so
 that's the only thing I can think of for now.  We'll see if this helps
 before closing the ticket.
