It looks like gmail only supports POP3 access using SSL.

Doh!!!

BTW, if anyone has success receiving email through gmail, using D-RATS,
I'm happy to be corrected.

As Dan is flat out getting ready for the DCC this weekend there's no
rush to getting it working.  Monday will be fine :)
