Dan
It was connected today I was able to xmit GPS data using d-rats, K4RBM did
note my information was being sent and updating his maps.

Let me pull the logs tomorrow after my journey to work then I'll forward
that.

My GPS is connected to com4 or com5 I'll confirm the configuration and pull
the debug log then respond to this post with the attachments.

Okay, after looking at the logs, I don't see any data coming from the
external GPS. Are you sure the GPS is on, sending NMEA strings, and
connected to COM3?

As a test, you might want to close D-RATS and open HyperTerminal
connected to COM3 at 4800 baud. You should see a constant stream of
strings that start with "$GP". If you don't, tell me what you see.

I assume that the GPS18 can do multiple data types like the rest of
Garmin's product line, but I don't know how to tell it which type to use.

I don't know the last time I checked this function but it currently doesn't
work. The debug log is attached. I manually input the URL for the specific
tile in a browser and it downloads fine. DRATS doesn't seem to be able to
download them though. Based upon how quick the windows pop and close (almost
instantaneously) , I am assuming we have lost a timeout setting in the
download feature.
