<p>I thought the issue was more easily summarised as Excel truncates empty fields at the end-of-line. I always wondered why the solution wasn't for Chirp to respect EOL as a field (column) reset, as Excel obviously does?</p>
<p>Is that not right or just a gross oversimplification?</p>
