proven that your computer and cable are not at fault by testing with the baofeng
radio. The only part left is the Kenwood.</DIV>

<DIV>So what might be the problem? I suspect either the cable is not
fitting correctly or a fault in the radios sockets. There have been
reports of baofeng radios having a poorly moulded case which restricts the cable
from entering far enough to make a proper connection or maybe you are
pushing it too far creating the same problem. There is also the
potential problem of a faulty socket on the radio. Your eyesight problem
may require you to seek help in solving this. If another ham is not close,
maybe a computer geek can help you.</DIV>
