The contacts are inside the socket. You can change the socket. You can<br>
try the things mentioned in miklor FAQ 8.1 at the page below.<br>

You could put solder on the socket leads as shown in the attached<br>
photo that was provided by Baofeng to someone else that had this issue<br>
(the picture was from 2014 or earlier so the board may be different on<br>
newer radios. try it at your own risk).<br>
