<p>What type of adapter are you using to connect the cable? I
understand that the MacBook only has USB-C and all of the cables I
know of use a USB-A connector.</p>

currently available for data Tx/Rx?
Assuming that a USB connector is
available for data Tx/Rx (and not just
for charging) then it might need
enabling via a setting before it will
appear on the Connect menu.</div>

I have used CHIRP in the past
with an older MacBook with no
issues. Now I have the MacBook
Pro 2018 with USB-C.<br class="">
-I have the Apple supplied FTDI
drive & no others.<br

-Only bluetooth shows up in the
connect menu<br class="">
-I also am using a new Baofeng.
I used to have the UV-5R but now
I?m using a BF-F9HP which I
understand is supposed to be a
UV-5R variant. Do I select UV-5R
or BF-F8 in the menu?<br
