However, my probelm is a bit different in that I can download from but not upload to my Yaesu VX-5R. Also I have no trouble up or downloading to my Btech UV-5X3 (though that may use a different driver).It’s quite frustrating. I have just recently purchased a Baofeng BF-F8HP and installed Chirp on
my Mac Pro. I am unable to connect to the radio to download the initial
configuration. <br class="">
I played around with all of the suggested tip and tricks for the Mac
(running High Sierra) and was not able to get the software to talk to
the radio.<br class="">

I pulled out an old Windows 7 laptop and installed the latest versions
of Chirp and Prolific drivers for my USB-to-Serial cable and all works
perfectly...<br class="">
<br class="">
So, this tells me that the radio is working as designed and the cable is
working with the latest Prolific drivers. <br class="">
<br class="">
Anyone else having an issue with Chirp on Macs?<br class="">
