But this also leads me to my third response, “empty questions” don’t necessarily mean that the person hasn’t looked, it may also mean that they’re so inexperienced that they don’t really know what they’re looking for. That BTW was me a few months back trying to help a friend install CHIRP on his Linux box … one (or was it several) people essentially walked me through solving his problem. We’re hams for somebodies sake, isn’t it part of the history of hams to be helpful??<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I’m a novice when it comes to current radios, spent most of my younger life cussing Morse and playing with tube type receivers as an SWLer so I don’t often respond here unless I’m pretty certain that my response is usable.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>As you suggest, there’s a lot of QRM here, wouldn’t it be more useful to all our sanities <??> if we provided helpful – really helpful – responses??<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>And I’ve added my share of QRM for the day ….
