    Chris appears to be using Hotmail (and charset ISO-8859-1) based on
    the headers in his email.  <br>
    <br>
    There's an article on Apple.com about this.  Apparently, disabling
    smart quotes will fix the issue:<br>
    - <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6322119">https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6322119</a><br>
    <br>
    FYI--I've seen similar problems when people use Word to compose
    their emails and then copy-and-paste the text to the email client.
    Word also uses smart quotes (which means it's using the 'e2 80 99'
    code point instead of the old-fashioned regular apostrophe (code
    point 27)).<br>
    <br>
    Although it seems to me that perhaps if smart quotes are becoming
    more common, that perhaps Hotmail should start supporting them
    correctly.  As I mentioned in a previous email, my Android email
    client (GMail app) had no issues with Fred's original email.  And
    now that I'm on my PC (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with Thunderbird), his email
    reads just fine (I.e. no extraneous question marks).  However, if I
    look very closely, I can see that the apostrophes in his first
    sentence are visually distinct from the apostrophe in his second
    sentence.  The difference being that the ones in the first sentence
    are smart quotes and the second sentence has the old standard
    apostrophe.  The same is true of the apostrophe in his sign-off
    '73's'.  The apostrophe is actually the "RIGHT SINGLE QUOTATION
    MARK' again, which is visually distinct.<br>

                  Are you asking about iOS, the operating systems on
                  devices like iPhones and iPads; or about MacOS, the
                  operating system on MacBook laptops and iMac desktops?
                  You specifically stated a version of High Seria which
                  makes me think you are actually asking about MacOS,
                  especially since Chirp doesn?t run on iOS. Both FTDI
                  and clone cables are supported on MacOS as well as
                  it?s predecessor Mac OS X.

                  My question has to do with the FTDI chipset and Apple
                  computers. I have a MacBook Pro with iOS High Sierra
                  version 10.13.2 installed.<br>
                  Is your chipset compatible with that iOS?<br>
                  Thank you.<br>

                  I'm using Ubuntu linux here and a couple days ago I
                  got the new daily <br>
                  build available e-mail notice but I never got the new
                  version when I did <br>
                  a system upgrade.<br>
                  <br>
                  Today I looked at the Chirp Launchpad PPA page and it
                  shows the latest <br>
                  chirp-daily is 20180104 but then it says "5 packages
                  waiting to build".<br>
                  <br>
                  Is the PPA broken or something?<br>
