<p>I have tried to get the USB to become active. <br>

<p>- I have updated to the latest CHIRP.</p>
<p>- I read near the bottom of the CHIRP installation page the instructions for activating the USB ports.</p>
<p>- I have the latest python.</p>

That looks correct as well but chirp had an issue with pySerial v3<br>
