I am having the same problem as Ray, but also with my TH 9800. The
TYT software can't see<br>
the radio either. So I don't think it is the plug on the Baofeng
cable in my case.<br>

cable at the computer end. Re-plug it and watch for a small notice
specifying the port to which the computer connected it. Verify that CHIRP
