This radio's drivers are experamental. I had found out the chip version of the Baofeng programming cable was needing the Prolific 2303 TA drivers which I got from the Prolific web page and these worked ok. I then discovered you must download the radio as a Baofeng BF-F8HP image and this solved all the problems.
