My screen goes black when I key up. But unlike yours, I can keep transmitting. <p>I tired VFO mode with a freshly charged battery right out of the charger. The UV-5RA brought up the repeater for 5 or ten seconds and then died. It sounds like it is the battery or the radio, not the interface to CHIRP. sigh.<br></p>
