A newer driver may not be compatible with the chip. Visit the following website for a guide (it was written for Windows 7 but the idea is the same) and a link to the driver.<br>

Thanks. You were right, I am using Windows XP and got CHIRP to open. I had checked cherpw, but did not recognize what popped up. I am now trying to get my computer to recognize my Baofeng, but I think that is a hardware problem. I'll work on it some more if I have time during the week.<br>
