Is there any RS232 adapter that will wor with this cable and chirp as all of my computers have USB ports and no RS232 port. Is there any hope that this will change in Chirp in the future so the OPC478 cable can be used?</div>

</div>The cable you need to use with the 92AD would fail a loopback test<br>
because it's not a looped cable. If that test passes, then I'd expect<br>
you're using an OPC-478 and the bayonet adapter to connect it. If so,<br>
that won't work with CHIRP. CHIRP talks to the 92AD in live high-speed<br>
mode, which doesn't require going into clone mode, and which won't work<br>
with the OPC-478.<br>
