Read. Download the Generic PL-2303 that I use in Mavericks. I started out with this driver in Lion. Upgraded to Mountain

lion, then to Mavericks all 64 bit. The original package installer was in Spanish. Jens, one of the Chirp programmer created
However, I should say that I did not install the Prolific driver, the OS just recognized the cable when it was installed. Per below, Mavericks is seeing your cable, so that removes the capable as a problem. CHIRP almost certainly not your problem. This narrows the issue down to this being a driver issue. It is almost always is the darned driver and finding the right one.

I suggest that you try the Mac OS X, new to Mavericks, built in serial driver. You select: /dev/cu.usbserial-A702RBLF in CHIRP

I’ve been told by FTDI support (I’m not using Prolific) that all other drivers must be removed with attempting to use Apple’s new built in driver. If you have multiple drivers installed that could be your problem even though the right one might be there.

How to uninstall drivers? Google search something like: How to uninstall (your driver name)
