<br>You can not use File -> New to start the programming for your radio. CHIRP won't know what radio it is for and therefore has no idea what features are available. You must download from the radio first to get a template that is compatible with your radio.<br>
<br>But in your case, you can't because it doesn't look the the TYT TH-UV5R is a supported radio. I may not be looking in the right place, but I can't find evidence that there is a TYT TH-UV5R.<br><br>The CHIRP home page lists the radios that are supported by CHIRP<br>
