<div dir="ltr">The UV5R does not need any buttons pressed on the radio. If the cable is good and the computer has the right USB to serial driver, clicking appropriate menu commands in CHIRP will get the communication going to or from the radio.</div>

First have you read your manual on cloning? Some radios will send<br>
automaticlly when you click download from radio, others<br>
need certain keys pressed to command the radio to send memory contents<br>
to Chirp. If you do not do that, you can see<br>
that message.<br>
Hopefully you will hear from someone who has that rig and can help.<br>
