If USB, have you used it with other radios or is this the first time? Many USB cables have a USB-to-serial chip in them that requires that you install an older driver for it to work. <br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Also, a common issue for the UV-5R is that the user is fooled into thinking that the cable is fully plugged in when it isn't. Give it an extra wiggle and push to make sure it is all the way in. I'm not kidding, this is a very common problem.<br>
