<p>I am using a Baofeng UV-5R with BFB297 firmware and CHIRP daily (today&#39;s build).</p>
<p>I have used Chirp successfully with the Wouxun KG-UVD1P, Baofeng UV-3R and Yaesu FT-857D, however, when I use the USB cable I got for my Wouxun to try and download the img from the UV-5R the radio does not communicate with the software.</p>

<p>Chirp sends two magic numbers to the rig, but the rig doesn&#39;t reply.</p>
<p>I have tested Chirp with the Wouxun and the UV-3R, and it works fine.</p>
