I have not reprogrammed my DR235 since the probs I was having using
Chirp on my laptop with Windoze 2K. But successfully using a down
rev version, simply connected my serial interface cable from the
laptop to the jack on the front panel of my DR235 and all was well
in Camelot. BTW: the cable is an Icom ... Radio automatically goes
into program/clone mode.

Hi all,
It has been quite a while since I wrote the Alinco drivers (DRx35) and I
don't quite recall some of the behavior. A user is trying to program a
DR235 and having trouble getting any data from the radio.
Does the radio have to be in clone mode prior to download? Are there any
other tricks that may be necessary before it will work? I seem to recall
it being rather straightforward, but it's been a while.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide...
