Hello Marco,<br><br>I saw the note on Yaesu, but I didn't know that the FT-897D has a "clone" mode. If it does, that is the problem.<br><br>More reading into the owner's manual is needed.<br><br>I need to RTFM I guess. :-)<br>

a specific note for yaesu like 897.<br>
During clone the serial speed is fixed, no matter what you set in radio<br>
menus.<br>
I don't know which of the two ttyUSB is the right one, try both<br>
