Is your software seeing the port that your cable is on? That's one

recently asked for help in getting CHIRP running on my
MacBook with a Kenwood TH-D72, and received great assistance
and made it work. Now I am trying to get the same radio to
connect with a Windows 7 64bit installation, and I can’t get
squat. The system is connecting perfectly to the Kenwood
software. I have tried the 2.2 install and I have tried
copying the latest daily build to the CHIRP directory. In
each case when I do download from radio, nothing happens.
Screen stays empty inside the CHIRP window. I have to shut
down CHIRP before I can try again. Please help this old nerd
before he drowns himself in Dead Guy ale to escape the pain.
