Hi all,
I have just tried the latest BETA version CHIRP 0.1.11b7 I would
like to hear from someone who has CHIRP working on an ICOM IC-T70E

When I tested the program, during the connection attempt I receive a
message telling me it is unable to get radio model. My current setup
is a generic ICOM USB interface on Com3. This interface is one I
normally use on the IC-706Mk2G and it works fine. It does have a
mono plug on it and I made an adapter to suit the Stereo Speaker
socket on the HT. This allowed me to use the Sleeve and Ring
required for the connection.

I assume the radio is put into Clone mode to connect to the PC.
Unfortunately the manual is not very helpful with information about
connecting to a computer.

operating system Windows XP SP3.

Cheers, VK3WWW Jack.
