I also installed the fresh new version of CHIRP (20200207) on my Windows 10 desktop. What else could be wrong? When the Radio window opens while attempting to transfer the programming table to the UV-82 radio, the proper COM port shows up, but the Brand and Model fields of the radio are greyed out. What more can I do?

Hi Marc,

>From what you are describing, you are attempting to upload an
externally generated "table" (likely a CSV file). You must first
download from the radio to create a tab that is compatible with your
radio. From there you can import your "table" into that tab and upload
it to your radio.
