Another option would be to change your list subscription to only send a 
daily "digest" i.e. summary of the previous days posts. You can do that 
by logging onto the list member options logon page, here:

http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/options/chirp_users

If you see any discussion in the digest that interest you,  then you can 
go to the message archive to quickly page through the discussion thread, 
here (no logon required):

http://intrepid.danplanet.com/pipermail/chirp_users/

And yes, everything sent to this list does get posted to the archive.
