I am fairly surprised to see technically savvy ham radio operators so inept
at using a simple software program like Chirp.

I would suggest to new users of Chirp to after install, download and save
your original configuration to an image file for later.

Then click on everything and go through each and every menu and sub menus.

Experiment!! You really can’t break anything. (I hope).

Sorry to be critical but it seems some users don’t even try on their own
before they come here for help.

You can do this!!
