I gave up trying to swim upstream in Microsoft's river.  Either go with 
the flow or jump ship to Linux.  :@)

Seriously, there are "supported" methods in Windows 10 to prevent 
Windows Update from undoing your successful driver rollback.  This 
method is the easiest I've found for folks that would rather not dig too 
far under the hood of the Microsoft bus:
