[chirp_users] New user, and question on diagnosing new radio

On a related note, this radio/cable shows up not as a serial port, but
as HID (human interface device) class. For example, I see this on Linux
(from syslog):
hid-generic 0003:15A2:0073.0001: hiddev0,hidraw0: USB HID v1.00 Device
[FREESCALE SEMICONDUCTOR INC. MCU MOUSE DEMO] on usb-0000:00:14.0-6/input0
Or from lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 15a2:0073 Freescale Semiconductor, Inc.
Chirp appears to be expecting only tty ports - any idea if other radios
do the same, and have workarounds?
