[chirp_users] TSQL / CTCSS

Hi Dennis
There is only two reasons you can only hear the repeater conversations when you push the monitor button on your radio.

1. You don’t have the correct decode tone programmed into your radio. Or
2. The repeater is not transmitting a ctcss tone.
Best thing for you to do for the moment is to set your radio tone decode to “none”
and then check with the repeater techs to see if, in-fact, they have tone encode enabled on this repeater.
They may have either disabled it, or it’s different from the info you have received about this repeater.
End of story.

You never NEED to use TSQL. The only time it comes in handy is if you are getting some kind of RFI or interference from another repeater. Turn TSQL off and you will probably be able to hear the repeater properly. Go to www.miklor.com for answers to FAQs.
