Dennis,

Fell free to contact me off list if you like.
I am a retired Deputy Sheriff and I noticed when I got my UV-5R that the
mic and earphone ports looked identical to my duty radio which was a
Kenwood.  That opened up a range of possible accessories most of which I
found on eBay.  Even programming cables.  I never had to make anything.
Always cheap and quick delivery.
