I see clearly where the mistake was made...by me. I’m the one that used “iOS” instead of just “Mac OS”. I learned something today. So I will order the cables I need for my two Yaesus, download CHIRP to my MacBook Pro and go on from there. Thanks to all for your assistance.

Unfortunately, he answered the wrong question. Mac uses macOS (formerly known as OS X), not iOS. IOS is for the iPhone and iPad.
Here's the page that has the driver from FTDI:http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

My question has to do with the FTDI chipset and Apple computers. I have a MacBook Pro with iOS High Sierra version 10.13.2 installed.
Is your chipset compatible with that iOS?
Thank you.
