Well that's interesting...

CMII ID 2004FJ0077
Device: FM walkie-talkie
Manufactured by Japan KENWOOD CORPORATION (Kenwood)

"A CMIIT ID is the product ID assigned by the China Ministry of Industry
and Information Technology to identify wireless products in the Chinese
market. The CMIIT assigns product identifiers to approved products which
must be labeled with the given approval code. The *FM walkie-talkie*,
manufactured by Japan KENWOOD CORPORATION (Kenwood), has an
Authorization Number of *CMII ID 2004FJ0077* and was approved on
2004-01-17 (valid until 0000-00-00). "

So I wonder if the CMIIT will be willing to retroactively label some
Bond Telecom Baofeng-branded radios that slipped past the FCC's purview
on their way through Customs into my home country (U.S.)  :@)

Anyway, thanks for that info!  "Learn something new everyday."
