Rich,

I will be watching this thread with interest as I am suffering the same,
running mac OS 10.12.6  Cable works fine on a late model Windows machine
but I have tried everything I can find on the net without success on my
Mac.

Think we are suffering from an industry of counterfeit and copy cats verses
legit vendors trying to lock the others out!
