What wave length would the other be for?
To get the wave length that a frequency falls in, just divide 300 by the
frequency.
220 would be 1.36 meters.
If the other band that the radio does is 2 meters, you would use the smaller
antenna.

Sorry for the off topic...I just purchased a UV-5X3. How do I
identify which antenna is for 220? There are two unlabeled whips,
one has a black inner core at the connector,,,the other is white, and
I can't read the label.
