Tone Mode and Cross Mode selections determine which selective squelch
columns that CHIRP pays attention to. You can look at these guides to
find out how this works.

Also If you would like to see the values in the unused fields shown in
the main memory editor, then you can disable "Hide unused fields" in
the View menu.
