I can also confirm that the IC-80AD doesn't show up in the Chirp: Radio
--> "Download from Radio" list (using the 07/30/17 Linux daily). I just
tried the auto-detect option but when I tell Chirp to download from the
radio (correct serial port, FTDI based cable that's worked on in the
past, etc), I'm only getting the following regardless if the radio is
sitting in clone mode, I try to initiate clone from the radio then tell
Chirp to start, etc.

--
ERROR: --- Exception Dialog: Out of sync with radio ---

I would assume that once I tell Chirp to start downloading, it would sit
there for a while, waiting for me to hit the PTT button on the radio to
start sending it's data. What seems to be happening is that Chirp is
not waiting and almost instantly errors out. This used to work though
I'll admit it's been some time since I've programed this radio.
