After a computer crash...rebuild....reinstall the programmer driver....update chirp....

Yes that works.  Shoulda been obvious of course, its just been a while since I programmed the other radios

Just like on the UV-5R, you have to set the Memory Display Format (MDF-A and MDF-B) to NAME.

Set either or both of these settings to "Name"...

Settings -> Basic Settings -> Display Mode (A):
Settings -> Basic Settings -> Display Mode (B):
