As I pointed out before, you can choose to scan one group of memories or all the memories on an 8900.

Actually the HyperMemory will work similar to the push buttons on your car radio - whatever is currently running can be programmed into a Hyper Memory location. Say on the left channel you're scanning amateur frequencies and on the right channel you're listening to the Coast Guard. If you push and hold a Hyper Memory button it will save those exact settings.

Where I'm having issues is not so much how to program a scan to a certain frequency spectrum, say 146.000 - 148.000, but how to scan a group of dedicated frequencies.

According to your Manual Page 36. Hyper Memory mode only stores 6 channels to be recalled quickly. you can not set it up like in banks to scan certain ones. So to answer your question is there is No way to do it.

Good Morning . . .

Trying to figure a way to program my FT-8900 so that I can scan certain groups of frequencies in the hypermemory modes. Since this radio doesn't have "banks" like my 7900 did, I cannot seem to figure this out.

Any suggestions?
