Dan, that’s why I bought a matching pair of UV-82HP radios; I can just move images between them.
Have you considered buying another UV-5RTP for $42 from Amazon and then selling the UV-5R for $20 on craigslist? That also gets you the higher power, extending the distance you can talk between the two units.
