Elaine,

That ought to be the perfect setup. I would double, double-check that
the 2-pin plug is fully plugged in. With my UV-82 radios, the plug
want to stick just short of being fully plugged in. And it feels like
it was fully seated but a little wiggling while pushing results in the
plug going in the rest of the way.

If that doesn't work, try getting the debug.log file and attaching to
your reply.
