[chirp_users] Mac woe's

Hi There, love your work, I am new to ham radio.
I have just purchased a TYT  TH-9800
I have managed to make chirp work via my windows PC but I would like to use it on my mac book air.
I have down loaded the latest version but it does not show the th-9800 in the drop down box.
I have been trying to understand what 'daily builds' are but am lost with that one.
I also saw that you say that there are some issues with Mac (surprise surprise)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am planning on getting several other radios soon, if this software is a usefull as it appears I will be more than happy to donate to assist you with your good work.
