[chirp_users] Baofeng UV-5R 7 watt version not recognized byChirp?

Hi Everyone:

Problem solved, for the 7 watt version of the UV-5R,
use the BF-F8HP setting when choosing the Baofeng Model number. It is at the
top of the list in the Chirp program.

Apparently, the UV-5R is a variant of the BF-F8HP (HP stands for high
power).

Hope this helps others who have purchased the UV-5R, 7 watt version.

Radios with 3 power levels require the BF-F8HP selection. Look on the
CHIRP home/wiki page under BF-F8HP and you will see UV-5RTP (the TP is
for Tri-Power)
